Not related to the finishing kit, I received a new gas strut for the baggage door today. I replaced the 5 lbs.one I had there previously with a 10 lbs. one. 10 lbs. is the correct value for the geometry I have chosen for the attaching it. The door snaps open from the fully closed position.
I attached the canopy rail retaining block to the back part of the bulkhead behind the passenger seat. I probably should have done this before cutting the canopy.
I drilled holes in the bottom of the canopy bubbly frame. I also marked cut lines on the canopy skirts. I marked them 1/4" beyond the scribe marks as per the instructions.
