I found another fuel leak. I obviously did a really lousy job flaring tubing because I have had to re-do just about every one of them. Fortunately I have had no problems with the tanks. Both have been full and have been drained to zero via the electric fuel pump.

The tail wheel chains had about 1" slack in them. By taking one link out of both sides this would make it almost zero slack. Both extremes are out of Van's recommended range so I opted for zero. Normal use should allow 1/4" of slack to build up.

I attached the rear seat belts and then the floors, covers and everything else. Tomorrow I will be taking it across the field to have it weighed. I alsready know it will not be setting a record for being the lightest RV8 since I followed Van's instructions and used the hardware that came with the kit, I have a quasi-IFR panel and I primed everything. For the weigh-in, I installed the cushions and I plan to attach the wheel fairings even though they haven't been worked on yet.

My mother and Christine's folks were there so I put on a show by taxiing to the end of the hanger row and then back.
