This morning I ordered an SL-40 COM radio and GI-106 indicator. They both should be here on Wednesday. After having worked on wiring for a few days it is very clear to me that I am better off installing all avionics while the front skin is off. So much for buying the avionics in phases. Tonight I installed the wiring for the trim position indicators. I can't say I am totally please with the result. I couldn't find a way to support the wiring bundle behind the indicators (picture on the right below.) without resorting to some kind of Dr. Seuss structure. I powered them up and verified the LEDs light and then dim when the Nav lights are turned on. |
