I wired the EMS enunciator LED and tested it. My plan was to use the other LED as an EFIS angle of attack enunciator but the EFIS only has an audio output. I'll design a simple circuit so that I can use both audio and the LED but I think I will do this later. I wired the serial bus between the EFIS and transponder. The EFIS serves as an altitude encoder. I had to work on the transponder's D-Sub connector with everything in place. Having a door behind the radio stack was really handy. The picture above is with all instruments and radios powered up. I still need to run a serial bus between the EMS and GPS. It may sound like a strange way to do it but this is how GPS data makes it into the EFIS. It doesn't sound like much but what I describe above took several hours. |
