The horrer in the first picture is of 1/2-way through the fiberglassing and filling operation around the windscreen. Bill was at the hanger very early. We remove a lot from the engine including rocker arms and pushrods. These were place in boxes with labels so that we can later re-assemble everything in the same locations. We plopped the tail wheel in a golf cart, tied it down and then towed the plane to Bill and Tom's hanger. We removed the engine and disassembled it. The crankshaft will be sent to an engine show that does magnaflux inspections. We towed the plane back. I hooked up the a-frame and raised the plane. I removed the wheels and replaced the no-name tubes with Michelins. |
