I think I am finished with repairs except for the engine. The wheel pants have been fitted and drilled. I ordered the Vans cuffs but I was mistakenly sent two left side ones. I sent one back and when the right one arrives I will fit it and then paint the wheel pants. Speaking of paint, you might notice that I changed the paint scheme a little on N188LC(bis). The HS and elevator are now white, except for the trim tab (which was all that I kept from the damaged empennage). I also painted the canopy skirt white.
On the right is a P-47 that landed at Hooks this evening. Earlier this week I saw a B-25. I think the influx of warbirds is due to the Wings over Houston air show next weekend.
The crank shaft is on its way back. Hopefully we will be able to reassemble the engine this week.
