This last week was my daughter Caroline's birthday. Preparations and the event transcended everything including airplane construction.

I riveted the aileron brackets and gap seals to the rear spar. I had a difficult time deciding where to put the flush side of the two rivets next to the bearing on the outside bracket. The plans call for them to be on the outside but they also show that there will be less clearance between moving parts if put there. I clecoed the aileron into place, moved it around and boy does it ever seem to me that the flush side needs to be on the inside.

I then cut the aileron stiffeners, deburred them and clecod them into the aileron skins. This tedious job was made much easier with the band saw and Scotch Brite wheel.
