Monica helped me today. She loaded up the rivets and
taped them in and I back riveted. Back riveting is cool in that one can
pound many rivets per minute. And they all turn out soooo nice. I am not
really riveting with one hand while taking the picture with the other.
The shot was posed. I bent the trailing edges. I tried
harder to be careful here because I didn't do such a great job with the
elevator. I disassembled my brake and set a gap between the two boards
equal to the diameter I wanted. With washers in place for spacing, I
reattached the hinges and then I bent both trailing edges. They turned
out great. I don't need to order new ones from Vans. |
