Christine and I went flying!

We went to Brenham for a burger and a shake. Brenham is where Blue Bell ice cream is made and the restaurant at the airport make the best shakes. Notice Christine's "RV grin" right after we landed. No, I did not do any rolls. We went straight and level like an airliner but I did manage to do a three bounce landing at Hooks. Christine either did not notice or was just being kind to me when she said it seemed fine to her.

On February 22, I flew at night. I took off at sun set and started doing touch and goes until it was mostly dark. The landing lights and interior lighting worked out perfectly. Tip: leading edge lights on an RV8 should be aimed for taxi - tail down position. You can't see anything on one side if that light is pointed up for level flight. With both set up as taxi lights there is plenty of lighting for landing. Anyway, I then flew about 15 miles to the west and returned for 3 stop and goes.

Editor's Note: From this date on, this isn't a builder's log (in case you haven't noticed). I am out of phase 1 and I have my repairman certificate so there isn't anything left that I need to show the man. I no longer feel constrained to stay on topic.
