I haven't done a whole lot in the last week or so. We spent 4 days in Disneyworld.

I primed and painted the tail wheel mount and spring.

I etched, primed and painted some test strips to see for myself whether rattle can primer is good enough for fuselage interior parts like the longerons (answer: no). My not-so-scientific test was to let the test strips dry and then try to scratch them with my finger nails and then with a screw driver. The rattle can (SW GBP-988) primer came off in flakes. The PPG Primer, Akzo primer and PPG Concept over any of the three primers held up well.

I'll Akzo the parts that aren't visible and paint with PPG Concept the cockpit.

Today I prepared and primer the upper and lower longerons.
