I started drilling the center side skin to the ribs and main longeron. These pictures are of some of the ugliness I need to take care of. The first one is of the bend that goes under the fuselage about where the flap meets the wing. It is too low (or actually high in this picture of the upside down fuselage). The second is of where the skin meets the spar center section. I need to bend the flange back a little more. The last is of this really large gap (about 1.8") between the skin and F-815 rib right behind the main spar. The gap is cause by the skin being layered on top of the .063 piece that goes on the outside of F-804, on top of the F-804 rib flanges and on top of the F-815 rib. I decided to stop drilling and take care of this. |
