Tonight Christine and I riveted the rest of the back of the F-850 skin along with the left side. One problem that has become readily apparent is the interference between the screws, bolts and nuts in the bottom rear corner of the landing gear boxes (top center in the pictures above). The right one barely fits (top right picture above) but makes contact. The left one doesn't fit.

Update 7/20/2006: My plan is to use AN364 nuts. These are lower profile than the AN365 called for in the drawings and are structural where the loads are in shear as they clearly are here. I will double check this with Van's..

Update 7/21/2006: I called Van's. An AN364 is OK here and anywhere where the loads are in shear.

Update 7/28/2006: Nuts are in. They fit and they don't touch (barely). This is how it looks:
