A very busy day was today (I sound like Yoda).

I made a template using the NACA scoop cutout on the left front skin and traced a line onto the right one using an Exacto knife. Then I cut along the line to make a NACA scoop in the same position.

I made an outside ring as I did with the other scoop to be a backing plate for the rivets. I then marked the rivet locations 1" apart and drilled them through the plate and plastic scoop. Then I taped the scoop into position and back drilled through the skin.

I then deburred, dimpled, ProSealed and riveted the plastic part and ring to the skin. I then primed it.

I then spent several hours masking off the firewall, spar and weldments. I vacuumed one more time and then cleaned everything with acetone. I then painted the interior PPG Concept "Olympic White".
