Finding a spot to mount the remote compass sensor is proving to be a pain. I surveyed most of the area in the tail cone with a compass and found that bolts cause the compass needle to deflect (no surprise) as well as the rudder cables if you get close enough to them (surprise). I want to mount the sensor away from the strobe power supply and its cables and of course away from the elevator pushrods and bell crank. Given all of this platform upon which the horizontal stab mounts seems to be the best place.

Today I made the bracket for mounting the ELT. The plate is in two pieces to allow the strap that wraps around the ELT to fit. I primed the ELT and Strobe power supply mounts as well as a few other pieces that have been in the prime queue for a while.
