I then drilled the holes for the nose attach points and re-enforcing plates. Note to self: do not rivet these in until after the rib is riveted to the skin.

I cut out the access hole for the inside rib using my fly cutter. I
deburred the edges and then drilled the holes for the screws and
nutplate rivets. I used the backing ring and the access plate sandwiched
together to drill the screw holes in the rib. I riveted on the backing
ring and nutplates. I then drilled the holes for the nose attach points and re-enforcing plates. Note to self: do not rivet these in until after the rib is riveted to the skin. |
