Today I came home for lunch and masked and primed the wing. While priming I noticed my cheap Harbor Freight HVLP gun was sputtering on the primer. Some of it would come out as a fin mist but some as fairly large droplets. The primer is PPG K-36. I mixed it as per the instructions and I added reducer to further thin it out. I also filtered it before pouring it into the gun.

After priming I noticed a few rivets were sticking out on the inboard bottom side. With the rivet gun and a bucking bar I pounded them in further and made them flat. I don't know how I didn't notice it before but one of these was loose. Rather than pound it, I drilled it out and installed a new rivet. The strange color below right is of me using a different primer over these rivets.

After this I masked off the front part of the wing where the red will go.
