Today I riveted all of the rear spar components together. It was a breeze with the pneumatic rivet squeezer. I started preparing the ribs. I used the large Scotchbrite wheel on the bench grinder to smooth out the outside edges. Whatever process they use to cut the ribs leaves bumps and some unevenness. I then used a deburring tool on the edges and the die grinder with a small Scotch-Brite wheel to smooth out the insides of the lightening holes. My guess is that I am finished with about 1/3 of the ribs. |
